- My elderly mother in PA has been told she is on the priority list for the seasonal flu shot. Since Sept. 1 her doctor's office has canceled 7 appointments THEY made for her to get the vaccine. Why? Because they don't have it and don't know when they are getting it.

- Yes, folks will use Facebook no matter what. The problem is those same folks playing these games in the workplace. I notice it whenever I log on. I feel they are cheating their employers, themselves, and their fellow employees. Who does the work when they are playing these games?

- Here in unincorporated Jefferson County, Littleton, we have 18+ inches of snow. Another 8-16 predicted by end of the day Thursday. Schools are closed, not a plow to be seen, kids having a blast playing outside. My 3rd grade 8 year old is very upset school is closed.

- Either my husband or I walk our 8 year old 3rd grader to school every morning and walk her home every afternoon. The elementary school is 2 blocks from our house. It is a safety issue for us. But this routine gives us time for a quick talk about the day ahead or about homework or just chit-chat.
